Jadar Johnson DB 6-1 180 Orangeburg, SC

Enrolled at Clemson in January 2013...rated as the #9 overall player in South Carolina and #80 ATH in the nation by ESPN.com...three-star prospect by Rivals.com...#28 safety and three-star prospect by Scout.com...played in the Shrine Bowl of the Carolinas...had 50 tackles and four interceptions with 10 pass break ups as a junior...ranked as a PrepStar All-Southeast Region selection...comes to Clemson from same high school that sent all-time great Woody Dantzler to Clemson (1998-01)...coached by Tommy Brown at Orangeburg Wilkinson High School...recruited by Marion Hobby...born June 29, 1995.

Mickey Plyler on Johnson: "This is another combo guy that can play either safety or corner. He has a solid base in term of tackling and fundamentals at this stage. Here is another guy that comes in this spring and has a chance to impress the new secondary coach. Look for Johnson to get a long look to help a poor secondary in the spring."

Reminds Plyler of: Jerome Henderson

Shaq Lawson DE 6-4 260 Central, SC

Enrolled at Clemson in January 2013...rated as the #1 prep school prospect in the nation out of Hargrave Military Academy and #1 prep school defensive end in the nation by 247sports.com...in 2011 he was a 4 star prospect according to Rivals.com coming out of high school and the #3 high school prospect in South Carolina...four-star player who was top 300 All-American by PrepStar...had 99 tackles, 23 tackles for loss, nine sacks, and five caused fumbles as a senior at Daniel High School in 2011...had a dominating junior season with 100 tackles, 23 tackles for loss, 13 sacks, and two touchdowns...played in the North/South All-Star game where he was named defensive MVP...also was the defensive MVP in the Offense/Defense All-American Bowl...coached by Randy Robinson at D.W. Daniel High School and Troy Davis at Hargrave Military Academy...recruited by Chad Morris and Dan Brooks.

Mickey Plyler on Lawson: "I have watched Lawson on the basketball court and football field for years. I saw him at the South Carolina game this year and his body looks completely different. Lawson has a great wing span. I think he will benefit from spring practice this season and would not be surprised to see him on the two-deep as a true freshman."

Reminds Plyler of: Phillip MerlingPhillip Merling Defensive End # 6-6, 275 Cordova, TN View Full Profile

Ebenezer Ogundeko DE 6-3 240 Brooklyn, NY

Enrolled at Clemson in January of 2013, just a few days after he committed to the Tigers during the Under Armour All-America game...rated as the #1 defensive end in the state of New York and #126 overall player in the nation by ESPN.com...4-star prospect and #212 high school prospect in the nation by rivals.com...#21 strong side defensive end and #4 high school prospect in New York by 247sports.com...had 71 tackles and 16 sacks as a senior...as a junior he had 79 tackles and 12 sacks... four-star player by PrepStar who lists him as top 300 All-American...first native of the New York City area to sign with Clemson since Elsmore Gabriel in 2005...coached by Stephen Edwards at Thomas Jefferson High School...recruited by Brent Venables...born October 12, 1995.

Mickey Plyler on Ogundeko: "I did not see his film until after he committed but I am impressed with his speed rushing capabilities. I am not sure of the level of competition but he explodes off of the ball. The Tigers need depth here and if he can develop in spring ball then I could see him avoiding a red-shirt year as well."

Reminds Plyler of: Andy Headen

Jordan Leggett TE 6-6 235 Navarre, FL

Enrolled at Clemson in January 2013...rated as the #7 TE in the nation and #76 overall player in Florida by ESPN.com...#13 TE in the nation and #83 overall player in Florida by rivals.com, also a 3-star prospect by that same service...3 star prospect by scout.com...a PrepStar All-Southeast Region selection...#18 among the Top 25 tight ends in the nation by Maxpreps.com...had 45 receptions for 608 yards and 3 touchdowns as a junior...coached by Jay Wallace at Navarre High School...recruited by Chad Morris...born January 31, 1995.

Mickey Plyler on Leggett: "This might be the surprise of the class. He is a big, lanky receiver type prospect that will play tight end at Clemson. He has above average ball skills for a tight end. This staff has done a good job of finding huge receivers and moving them to tight end. Leggett has a huge upside."

Reminds Plyler of: Brandon FordBrandon Ford Gr. Tight End #80 6-4, 240 Wando, SC View Full Profile

Wayne Gallman RB 6-1 195 Loganville, GA

Four-Star signee from 247sports.com and ESPN.com...247sports.com ranks him as #217 player in the nation, 18th best running back and #19 player in Georgia...Scout ranks Gallman as #26 running back in the nation...ranked as a PrepStar All-Southeast Region selection...played in the Offense-Defense Bowl in Houston, TX...gained 516 yards and scored eight touchdowns as a senior, he averaged five yards a carry...also had 46 tackles and seven sacks on defense...helped Grayson High to 10-2 record...ranked as fifth best team in state of Georgia...had 700 yards rushing and eight touchdowns as a junior...played for Mickey Conn at Grayson High School, Conn was a roommate of Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney at Alabama...recruited by Tony Elliott...born Oct. 1, 1994.

Mickey Plyler on Gallman: This is one of the better players in this class. He had a great senior season. Some think he would be a great linebacker in college but Clemson needs help at running back. Gallman is a high character kid that stuck with his commitment a long time.

Reminds Plyler of: Travis Zachery

Kyrin Priester WR 6-2 190 Snellville, GA

A top 175 player according to ESPN, they rank him as the 172nd player in the nation overall...ESPN also ranks him as the 20th best wide receiver and 19th best player in Georgia...as a senior had 56 catches for over 1000 yards and 13 scores...had 31-565 and five touchdowns as a junior...ranked as a PrepStar All-Southeast Region selection...recruited by Tony Elliott and Mike Reed...played for Mark Crews at Brookwood High...born Nov. 11, 1994.

Mickey Plyler on Priester: The staff had to go back and find a receiver after the two decommits but they got a polished product in Priester. He is solid. He runs good routes. Priester played in a good system which will help him adjust quicker. I would not be surprised to see him avoid a red-shirt and provide much needed depth at receiver.

Reminds Plyler of: Terry Smith

Dorian O'Daniel LB 6-1 205 Olney, MD

Among the highest ranked Clemson incoming freshman according to Rivals.com, he is ranked #40 overall...also ranked #102 by 247sports.com, #46 by PrepStar and #112 by ESPN.com...played in the US Army All-America game in San Antonio in January...among the top 10 outside linebackers in the nation as well, he is ranked #6 at the position by Rivals.com, #8 by ESPN.com...also #11 outside linebacker by Scout and #13 by 247sports.com...ranked as #16 outside linebacker in the nation by Tom Lemming and MaxPreps...listed as third best player in Maryland by 247sports.com and ESPN.com...member of Top 150 Dream Team and a five-star player according to PrepStar...four-star by ESPN...a running back and linebacker in high school...helped Our Lady of Good Counsel to an 11-1 record in 2012, they were the number-one team in the Washington, DC area...first-team all-state and all-conference as a running back...named Montgomery Sentinel Offensive Player of the Year and Gazette Montgomery County Player of the Year...named to the 75th Pigskin Club of Washington All-Metropolitan first team and the Washington Post All-Met first team...he contributed to four straight conference championships...had outstanding senior season with 1,307 yards rushing on 190 rushes and 18 touchdowns in just 10 games...had season high 325 yards rushing in 24 attempts in September victory over Gonzaga...also had 33 tackles and two sacks on defense...as a junior, accumulated 897 yards rushing in 127 attempts, a 7.0 average and scored five touchdowns...had 38.5 tackles, 16.5 of which were behind the line of scrimmage...that included five sacks...had 560 yards rushing and eight scores as a sophomore...played for Kevin McFadden at Our Lady of Good Counsel High School...recruited by Brent Venables and Jeff Scott...born Sept. 4, 1994.

Mickey Plyler on O'Daniel: This is an athletic a linebacker that plays sideline to sideline. He drops into coverage well and can rush the passer coming off of the edge. I can see becoming a leader as well. O'Daniel had a great high school career as a running back but I think will get his first look at linebacker.

Reminds Plyler of: Doug Brewster

Tyshon Dye RB 6-1 210 Elberton, GA

Talented running back who is ranked in top 125 in the nation by ESPN.com...ranked #123 overall, is 18th among running backs and 12th best player in state of Georgia...member of top 300 All-America team by PrepStar, who also lists him as four-star player...Rivals ranks him as #204 player in the nation, 17th among running backs and 16th among players from state of Georgia...247sports.com ranks Dye as 167th best player in the nation overall, 12th best running back and 16th best player from Georgia...as a senior, had 95 rushes for 817 yards and 12 scores in just seven games, an injury limited his play...still Region Offensive Player of the Year in 2012...selected to North-South All-Star game as a senior...also had eight kickoff returns for 120 yards and a touchdown...as a junior, gained 1561 yards on 212 carries and scored 21 touchdowns...also had 17 receptions for 198 yards and two scores and a pair of punt returns for scores...all-state and Region Player of the Year in 2011...selected to Georgia Rising Seniors game in 2011...had 889 yards on just 90 rushes as a sophomore, a 9.8 average...had 11 rushing touchdowns and three on kickoff returns as a sophomore...also had 96 tackles to rank among the team leaders...played four years of basketball and four years of track as well...a member of 2011 state championship track team...played for Sid Fritts at Elbert County High School...recruited by Tony Elliott...born December 7, 1993.

Mickey Plyler on Dye: This is a good looking athlete with a big upside. He is a one-cut back. He does not have a lot of wiggle in the open field but does have good top end speed. Chad Morris has wanted a bigger back and Dye has the frame to add another 20 pounds. He misssed the last part of his senior season but should be healthy when he arrives to Clemson.

Reminds Plyler of: Zac Brooks

Jayron Kearse S 6-4 205 Fort Myers, FL

Ranked as #16 athlete in the nation by Rivals.com and 247sports.com...Scout.com ranks him as seventh best outside linebacker in the nation...ranked as a top 300 All-American by PrepStar...Area Defensive Player of the Year for South Fort Myers High School...helped that team to an 11-2 record...ranked as #15 athlete in the nation by Tom Lemming and MaxPreps...all-around football player who had 528 yards rushing and scored five touchdowns as a senior, he averaged 12.3 yards per rush...also averaged 18.9 yards per catch and scored five touchdowns...on defense as a safety, had 87 total tackles, three sacks and an interception...had 1600 yards rushing and 17 touchdowns as a junior...comes to Clemson from the same high school as junior wide receiver Sammy Watkins...nephew of former Florida All-American and NFL All-Pro Jevon Kearse...also cousin of NFL player Phillip Buchanon...played in the Offense-Defense Bowl in Houston...played for Grant Redhead at South Fort Myers High School...recruited by Tony Elliott...born Feb. 11, 1994.

Mickey Plyler on Kearse: This might be the most athletic prospect in the class. Kearse is a freak athlete that has a chance to come in and make a big splash. Clemson needs immediate help and I can see him having an impact like Blanks had this past season. He is long and athletic. I think he can play in any program in America.

Reminds Plyler of: Leomont Evans

Dane Rogers DE 6-3 245 Shelby, NC

Defensive end signee who had 282 tackles, 21 sacks and 17 tackles for loss as a four-year starter at Crest High School... ...helped his Crest team to consecutive 3A State championship games...they had a strong 10-3 record in 2012...as a senior, recorded 70 tackles, three sacks and five tackles for loss, and added two fumble recoveries and a forced fumble...as a junior, tallied 86 tackles, 12 sacks, three tackles for loss and three fumble recoveries...had 76 tackles, five sacks and six tackles for loss as a sophomore and 50 tackles, one sack and three tackles for loss as a freshman...earned all-state and all-area honors as a senior, and all-conference honors as a junior and senior...played in the Shrine Bowl for North Carolina team...won Spark Award for North Carolina Shrine Bowl team...ranked as a PrepStar All-Southeast Region selection...cousin of current Clemson defensive tackle Carlos Watkins...recruited by Dan Brooks...played for Mark Barnes at Crest High School...born April 26, 1995.

Mickey Plyler on Rogers: He played in a good system and impressed with his fundamentals. He is bigger than I thought. Rogers looks like he is sound against the run and pass. His frame gives him a chance to add more good weight. This is a solid prospect that has a chance to be an early contributor.

Reminds Plyler of: Martin Aiken

Marcus Edmond CB 6-1 175 Hopkins, SC

Ranked as number-12 player in South Carolina by Rivals.com and number 18 in the state by ESPN.com...gained 2000 yards rushing and passing as a quarterback and accounted for 24 touchdowns in 2012...also had 48 tackles and four interceptions on defense...while playing for Wayne Farmer his junior year, had 33 tackles and an interception in 2011...also played high school basketball...state champion in the 400 meters in track...played for the same high school coach as current Clemson defensive back Bashaud Breeland...as a senior, played for Darryl Page at Lower Richland High School...recruited by Mike Reed.

Mickey Plyler on Edmond: Some liked Edmond at safety but I think he has the hips to play corner. He is one of the fastest athletes in South Carolina. The Tigers have been awful in the secondary but his speed will help. They went on him late but this is a really good pick up.

Reminds Plyler of: Coty Sensabaugh

Maverick Morris OT 6-5 290 Douglas, GA

Ranked as a PrepStar All-Southeast Region selection...ranked as #67 offensive tackle in the nation by ESPN...consensus three-star player...committed to Clemson in June 2012, he was the first offensive lineman commitment for the class...was a two-year starter and graded out 84% for his career...was selected to play in GACA North-South All Star game...in addition to football, was also a three-time letterwinner in wrestling and a member of the track and field team...also a member of FCA...played for Buddy Nobles at Coffey County High School in 2012, whose son Kasey played at Clemson...Nobles also coached C.J. Spiller in high school...recruited by Danny Pearman...born June 24, 1994.

Mickey Plyler on Morris: Morris plays in one of the toughest regions in America. He impressed the staff at camp and earned a scholarship offer. He is a tough, hard-nosed run blocker. For a guy that no one ever heard of before the camp, he emerged as one of the top prospects at camp.

Reminds Plyler of: Nathan Bennett

D.J. Greenlee ATH 6-2 210 Central, SC

Had 58 tackles, including seven tackles for loss as starting outside linebacker at Daniel High School as a senior...three-year starter at linebacker who finished his career with 179 tackles and four fumble recoveries...also had five career interceptions for 107 yards and two scores...named first-team All-Region and All-Area for the 2011 and 2012 seasons...helped Daniel High to an 11-4 record in 2012...ranked as a PrepStar All-Southeast Region selection...son of Clemson strength training coach Larry Greenlee...played for Randy Robinson at Daniel High School in Clemson, same school that sent current Tiger defensive tackle DeShawn Williams and former Tigers DeAndre Hopkins and Jarvis Jenkins (current Washington Redskins tackle) to Clemson...also lettered three years in track and three years in basketball...recruited by Chad Morris...born Jan. 20, 1995.

Mickey Plyler on Greenlee: I have seen Greenlee in each of the last two seasons. I think he might be better suited as a tight end in the long term. He has a nice frame and will definately get bigger and stronger. I would not be surprised to see him as an H-Back or tight end in the future.

Reminds Plyler of: Darrell Smith

Ben Boulware LB 6-1 230 Anderson, SC

Ranked as #78 overall player in the nation by ESPN.com...also listed as #3 overall inside linebacker in the nation and top player in South Carolina by ESPN...also number-one prospect in South Carolina by Scout.com...ranked as eighth best inside linebacker in the nation and second best player in South Carolina by Rivals.com...247sports.com also ranks him as eighth best inside linebacker, third best overall player in South Carolina and #182 overall player in the nation...finalist for Mr. Football in state of South Carolina...made a big move with his performance in practice and during the Under Armour All-America game...also named Game Captain for his team in the Under Armour All-America game, he had three tackles for loss and an interception in that game...listed as one of the top five winners for his performance in that game by Bleacher Report...had 174 tackles, including four tackles for loss as a senior at T.L. Hanna High, which is just 20 minutes from the Clemson campus...had 178 tackles and four sacks as a junior and 151 tackles with 11 tackles for loss, four sacks and four interceptions as a sophomore...had 89 tackles, including five for loss as a freshman...finished career with 592 total tackles, 28 of which were tackles for loss...also had six interceptions, 12 caused fumbles, three recovered fumbles and 10 passes broken up for his four years as a starter...showed his all-around abilities in that he had 17 kickoff returns for 364 yards, 21.4 yards per return...defensive MVP for victorious South Carolina team in the Shrine Bowl, he had a game high nine tackles, including 2.5 for losses, added an interception and a fumble recovery... wore number-seven in high school...two-time All-State and All-Region...two-year captain and defensive MVP of his high school team...also all-state baseball player in 2012...played his high school football for Kenya Fouch at T.L. Hanna High...recruited by Chad Morris...born August 7, 1994.

Mickey Plyler on Boulware: I have seen Boulware in each of the past three seasons. He is a physical attacker who finishes tackles. This is a player who plays like he is in a bad mood. Boulware is one of the toughest linebacker to come out of the state in the last few seasons. He is a better athlete than some think also.

Reminds Plyler of: LeRoy Hill

Mike Williams WR 6-5 205 Holly Hill, SC

Four-Star wide receiver according to all major recruiting services...ranked as #180 player in the nation by 24/7 and the number-two player in the state of South Carolina...ranked as #199 overall player in the nation by ESPN and #3 player in South Carolina...ranked as a top 300 All-American by PrepStar, they list him as a 4-Star player...#19 wide receiver in the nation according to Tom Lemming and MaxPreps...first Shrine Bowl player from his high school in 12 years...as a senior had 60 receptions for 1,395 yards and 10 touchdowns...as a junior caught 66 passes for 1,296 yards and 11 scores...had 42 catches as a sophomore...Orangeburg Times and Democrat Area Player of the Year...showed his all-around abilities by playing quarterback a few snaps as a junior, he threw for 354 yards and three touchdowns on just 20 completions...played in the Offense-Defense Bowl in Houston...played for Chris Carter at Lake Marion HS...recruited by Marion Hobby...born October 4, 1994.

Mickey Plyler on Williams: This is the best receiver prospect in South Carolina. He is a big body with a good frame. Williams is not a speed guy but more of a possession receiver with good hands. I like the way he adjusts to the ball in the air with good body control. He will have an adjustment to make but the Tigers need some depth this year at wide receiver.

Reminds Plyler of: Rod Gardner

T.J. Green ATH 6-4 200 Sylacauga, AL

Scored nine touchdowns and averaged 22 yards a catch as a senior at Sylacouga High School in Alabama...had 25 tackles and four interceptions on defense...outstanding kick returner...ranked as 18th best player in Alabama by ESPN who lists him as a four-star recruit...ranked as #56 athlete in the nation by ESPN.com...played for Matt Griffith at Sylacauga High...recruited by Robbie Caldwell...born March 15, 1995.

Mickey Plyler on Green: I have not seen a lot of Green so it would not be fair to make too many judgements. About all I can add is that he is a safety that is coming into a great opportunity to grab early playing time. He is the signee I know least about but I understand the staff feels like they got a steal in this long athlete.

Adrian Baker 6-1 170 Hollywood, FL

One of the top 200 players in the nation according to ESPN.com...ranked 197 overall, #19 athlete and #37 among players from the state of Florida...listed as a four-star player by ESPN.com...also ranked as #39 cornerback in the nation by 247sports.com...they also list him as #51 best player in Florida...ranked as #43 cornerback nationally by Rivals.com...had 38 tackles and five takeaways as a senior...had four interceptions, two of which he returned for touchdowns, and also had a fumble recovery and five passes broken up...also played on offense as a receiver, he had 15 catches for 480 yards and seven scores...as a junior had five interceptions...had two defensive returns for touchdowns and a punt return for a score as a junior...also played three seasons of high school basketball, he did not play his senior year to concentrate on football...also ran track, he has run 10.6 in the 100 meters and 21.5 in the 200 meters...played high school football for Tim Tyrrell...narrowed his college choices to Clemson and Oklahoma...recruited by Brent Venables...born September 13, 1994.

Mickey Plyler on Baker: This is a big pick up. Clemson was in dire need of cover corners. The group last year was lost in coverage due to a lack of speed, balance and athleticism. Baker gives the Tigers a speed guy with good cover skills. He needs to get bigger and stronger but his speed will get him on the field pretty quick.

Reminds Plyler of: James Lott

Korrin Wiggins 6-1 190 Durham, NC

Ranked as one of the top 30 cornerbacks in the nation by ESPN.com...that service also ranks him as 28th best player in the state of North Carolina...ranked as 25th best all-around player in North Carolina by Charlotte Observer...rated #42 cornerback and #14 player in state of North Carolina by Rivals.com...#52 cornerback in nation by Scout.com...#25 safety and #4 player in North Carolina by 247 Sports...two-time All-State selection by Associated Press...also two-time all-conference and all-area at Hillside High School...named to North Carolina team for the Shrine Bowl...had 90 tackles and seven interceptions as a senior, he helped team to 8-3 record in 2012...as a junior had 80 tackles, 12 passes broken up and six interceptions as he helped team to 11-2 record...starter in 2010 on 16-0 Hillside team that won the 4A State title...team was undefeated in the conference each of his last three years...attended same high school as current Cleveland Browns receiver Greg Little...narrowed his college choices to Clemson, North Carolina and Ohio State...recruited by Robbie Caldwell...played his high school football for Antonio King.

Mickey Plyler on Wiggins: The Tigers were able to flip Wiggins from North Carolina and away from Ohio State. They really needed safeties and he will get a chance early. Wiggins has a good base and is athletic enough to provide him a chance to avoid a red-shirt if he picks up the system. Signing day surprises are always nice and this one was no different.

Reminds Plyler of: Michael Hamlin

Cordrea Tankersley 6-2 195 Aiken, SC

Mickey Plyler on Tankersley: I did not see him this year but remember him from high school. I think he could play corner or safety but my guess is safety. There is a big need for help in the secondary and there is a new position coach so Tankersly will get a long look.

Mickey Plyler on Alexander: This is perhaps the biggest pick up in the class. Alexander was a must on signing day. He is the complete corner. He is fastest enough to make up ground if he takes a wrong step. Alexander is also competitive and a good open field tackler. He is a smart football player who studies the game. Clemson had to have secondary help and this one could help very early next season.

Mickey Plyler on Pagano: This is a strong athlete that plays with leverage. Pagano plays with a solid base and it is easy to see why he had so many offers. He is big enough to demand double teams but athletic enough to create a pass rush from the interior line. I will be interested to see how he transitions to a different region against better players at the next level.

Mickey Plyler on Crowder: This is a massive man. He is carrying too much weight now and will need to reshape his body but Crowder is a man. He is one of the strongest players in the South. Crowder should move inside to his natural position of guard. I can see him getting in contention to play fairly early in his career.
