It’s not easy being a high-profile college football recruit in this day and age. It’s even harder when you are not only trying to juggle your own recruitment, but you get asked constantly where your best friend is going as well.

– they are the ‘Grayson Trio’ – and he said he just tries to have fun with the whole process.

“It’s fun. It gets a lot of people talking, and it’s good to get that exposure and everything,” Kamara told TigerNet this past week.

He then said that people who make the assumption that all three will go to the same school simply don’t understand that they are all individuals.

“We know that wherever fits us, we are going to go,” he said. “We don’t really worry about that. If we all like different colleges, then we will go there. If we all like the same college, then we will go to the same college, too.”

He said that he and Nkemdiche try and leave football at school.

“We have been friends since 6th grade,” he said. “Outside of football, sometimes we talk about it and we joke around. We have all the schools coming here to school to talk to us, so when we leave here we try and get away from that.”

Kamara then said that he gets as many questions about Nkemdiche’s recruitment as he does his own.

“People ask me where he is going,” he said. “A lot of people think I have that inside information. But I don’t really ask him a lot of questions, because a lot of people are wondering that and he gets tired of that. So I don’t try and ask him.”

The 5-11, 185-pounder then said he hears from Clemson the most at this point.

“I hear from Clemson the most, but I also hear from LSU and Ole Miss,” he said. “They send me a lot of stuff. I also heard from Vanderbilt and Tennessee. I went up there [to Clemson] to one of the spring practices, and I saw Coach Cheese [Charlie Harbison] working with the corners. I went to a meeting with the defensive backs, and I saw they pray before practice and how they keep God in it. I really like that.”

He said he was most impressed with receivers Sammy Watkins and Nuk Hopkins at the practice, and can envision the day that he would get to cover one or both during a practice.

“That would be a great challenge for me,” he said. “I know he [Watkins] is one of the premier wide receivers in the NCAA, so being able to go against him every day would help me against other wide receivers.”

Kamara then listed his favorites.

“Clemson, LSU and Ole Miss,” he said. “I want to make it [a decision] before the season starts. I am going to Clemson for a camp, and I want to see how Coach Cheese coaches to see if I want him to be my coach and everything.”
