The defense stuffed two Wake threats late in the fourth quarter that helped seal the win.

What went wrong:

Boyd threw two interceptions and Wake could have had at least three more. He struggled with identifying the coverage, and then at times he waited too long to make a decision.

The defense was gashed time and time again as Wake – which came in averaging 104 yards per game on the ground – rushed for 145 yards.

Turning Point of the Game :

The defense sacked Wake QB Tanner Price with 52 seconds remaining that set up Catman’s field goal.

Stat of the Game: Tajh Boyd started out 9-for-20 but finished by hitting 18 of his last 23 passes and he wound up with 343 yards through the air.
