is excited to be part of the Clemson family, even though he has already lived it first-hand for years.

The Daniel High School product has family on the Clemson staff and on the football team that, a fact that he said will help him transition easier to major college football.

“I really looked up to all of them [former Daniel players],” Greenlee said. “But most of all, Nuk Hopkins, because we are first cousins and we grew up basically in the same house.”

His father, Larry Greenlee, has worked as the football team's assistant strength and conditioning coach for the last thirteen years.

“He is my biggest role model,” he said of his father. “He is a hard-working man that showed me how to get through hard times and achieve my goals.”

As a junior, Greenlee had 91 tackles, three interceptions and four fumble recoveries. He committed to Clemson on February 1st and attended the Dabo SwinneyDabo Swinney

football camp this summer.

“The camp was cool,” he said. “I got to get a feel of how Coach [Brent] Venables does things. It was a good camp overall. I have been going to the camp since I was six years old.”

, committed to Clemson during the camp.

“We were talking and I told him it's a good place to be, but I told him it's his choice, not mine,” he said. “It made me very happy because now I get to play with more Daniel stars. He is like my little brother.”

Greenlee also shed some light on an injury during a combine that led him to perform less than expected.

“It was my leg [injury],” he said. “My dad left it up to me if I wanted to participate in the combine. So I went out and I ran my 40 with a messed up leg not thinking it was going to make a big difference. A week before I ran a 4.7 flat.”

His official combine 40 time at the event was 5.08.

Greenlee said has been working hard to become a better football player and a more explosive player.

“I've been working on my speed a lot lately and I'm in the weight room every day,” Greenlee said. “I finished working out just now. My 40 time right now is 4.65.”

His main focus and concentration is on the upcoming football season for the Lions.

“I am not going to any camps and I’m just working hard for next season,” he said. “Daniel has the talent and hard-work to go all the way.”

He was asked if he thinks his game resembles anyone in college or the NFL game right now. He simply stated, “Andre Branch.”
