Clemson recruits getting late push from other schools |
The Clemson recruiting class could be taking a slightly different shape than first thought.
First off, it looks like DT Tra Thomas (6-1, 275) out of Wadesboro, NC, might be waffling a little in his commitment to Clemson. Recent reports have Thomas contacting the Michigan St. staff and seeing if an offer from the Spartans is still on the table. One source close to the Michigan St. program told TigerNet that Thomas has initiated the contact, and the Spartans would take Thomas if he decided to commit, according to the source. Also, Beaufort LB Justin Parker, who was thought to be solidly in Clemson’s camp, is getting a late push from an unexpected source in South Carolina’s camp. Marcus Lattimore, the Byrnes running back who committed to South Carolina on Tuesday, said he would call Parker to see if he could talk him into committing to the Gamecocks. I spoke with one Clemson commitment who spoke with Parker and who seems to think that Parker may be leaning towards Carolina at this point. Stay close to TigerNet in the morning as we post what recruits are faxing in their LOI’s. 2010 Football Commitments
