is done with his summer visits, and is now making plans for visits in the fall.

The Tucker (GA) 3-star athlete said he already has two trips planned, and a trip to Clemson is in the works.

“I have a visit set up for Notre Dame on September 22nd, and I am going to visit Oregon on October 6th,” Williams told TigerNet this week. “I want to see a game at Clemson, and Clemson will get an official visit. I just don’t know when yet. I will release a top five either at the end of this week or next week, and once I do that I will know more about which visits I will take.”

’s high school camp in June.

“I went up to see Clemson in June for the camp with some of my teammates. I didn’t work out, but I got to watch them and see how the camp works,” he said. “But the visit went well for me. I got to meet the coaching staff, got to meet Coach Swinney, and I got a tour of the facilities. I got to see the stadium, and that makes me want to go back and see it during a game.”

Williams said that Hobby has been working to get him back on campus, and to bring his family along for the visit.

“I love Coach Hobby,” he said. “We talk almost every day via Facebook. He just wants me to come back up to Clemson and see for myself what it’s like, and he wants me to bring my whole family with me. He told me that if he got me up there to see it, I would like it. He is recruiting me hard.”

Williams said that he didn’t get to visit Vickery Hall during June – it was closed the day of his visit – and he wants to see that as well.

“I want to go back with my mother and sit down at the academic center,” he said. “I want to major in sports medicine or pre-med, and academics are very important to me. I want to see if they have my major, and what classes I would be taking there.”

The 6-1, 180-pounder is listed as the No. 22 athlete in the nation by Rivals, and has offers from 22 schools, including Clemson, Florida St., Notre Dame, Oregon, Georgia Tech, N.C. State and South Carolina.

As a junior, Williams ran Tucker's wing-T offense, rushing for 612 yards and 11 touchdowns while throwing for 587 yards and seven scores, leading the Tigers to the AAAA state championship and a 15-0 season.

However, he can play all over the field and said he has been compared to a former University of South Carolina player.

“I am just a football player,” he said. “I feel like I can play a lot of different positions and help a team out. I have been compared to a lot of different guys, but someone once said that I reminded them of Syvelle Newton. They said our playing styles were similar.”

Williams said he hopes that by trimming his list down to a top five, the recruiting may slow down a little bit as well.

“It has been the best of both worlds,” he said. “It has been difficult going on visits and people want you to commit. But I don’t want to make just an emotional decision. I have a great time meeting all of the players and the coaches and meeting new people. But I have to think about this and make a decision based on more than just football.”
