Clemson, SC - Clemson point guard Vernon Hamilton has been selected to play in the NABC All-Star Game on Friday evening in Atlanta. The game will be played at Philips Arena at 7:30 PM, and will be held in conjunction with the NCAA Final Four, which will be held Saturday at the Georgia Dome.

Hamilton, the team's lone scholarship senior, finished his career Thursday evening after playing in 127 games. Only two players in Clemson history played more games than Hamilton, a native of Richmond, VA. He concluded his career with 271 steals, which ranks first in school history and sixth in ACC history. He finished with 1,238 points in a Tiger uniform, which ranks 17th on the school's all-time scoring list. Hamilton also concluded his career in the top 10 in Clemson history in minutes played and assists.

He is the first Clemson player selected for the NABC All-Star Game since Greg Buckner's senior season in 1998. Overall, Hamilton is the seventh player from Clemson to earn an invitation to the event. Other former participants from Clemson include Tree Rollins (1977), Horace Grant (1987), Elden Campbell (1990), Dale Davis (1991), and Chris Whitney (1993).

Hamilton will play for the American team on Friday, which will be coached by LSU head man John Brady. Among his teammates Friday will be familiar ACC foes D.J. Strawberry of Maryland and Kyle Visser of Wake Forest.
