Clemson, SC -

Sophomore Spencer Kieboom was one of five catchers added to the Johnny Bench Award Watch List, announced by the Greater Wichita (KS) Area Sports Commission last week. The award goes to the nation’s top catcher and will be presented in Wichita on June 30.

Kieboom, a native of Marietta, GA, leads the ACC with a .455 batting average along with 10 runs, three doubles, 15 RBIs, nine walks and four hit-by-pitches against five strikeouts, and a .535 on-base percentage in 17 games (17 starts). He has also been stellar behind the plate. He has already thrown out eight potential basestealers and has not committed an error this season.
