GREENSBORO, N.C. ? For the third time this season, weekly honors in Atlantic Coast Conference baseball have been shared by multiple student-athletes. Florida State?s Buster Posey has been tabbed ACC Player of the Week, while Clemson?s Ryan Hinson and Virginia?s Pat McAnaney are named ACC Co-Pitchers of the Week.

It marks the second week in a row for a Seminole to be recognized for Player of the Week, and a Clemson hurler to collect pitching honors. In addition, McAnaney shares the league?s pitching accolade for the second time this season.

Posey led No. 2 Florida State to a 4-1 record last week, including a series win at Wake Forest. The junior catcher paced the team with a .625 average on the week, recording 10 hits in 16 at-bats. He posted team highs in runs scored (10), home runs (2), total bases (19), slugging percentage (1.188) and on-base percentage (.739).

Hinson, a junior from Rock Hill, S.C., picked up a save and victory in two outings last week. In the second game against Elon last Wednesday, he pitched 2.0 perfect innings in relief with three strikeouts in a close game to preserve Clemson?s 2-1 win and earn a save. At Maryland on Sunday, he allowed just six hits, two runs, and one walk with eight strikeouts as the Tigers collected a 6-2 win. For the week, Hinson pitched 9.0 innings allowing just six hits, two runs, and one walk while striking out 11.

A senior from Syracuse, N.Y., McAnaney recorded a career-high 13 strikeouts and struck out the side in the ninth inning to post his second complete game as No. 15 Virginia defeated Virginia Tech 9-2 last Saturday. He tossed 9.0 innings, allowing just six hits, two runs and two walks. He retired 10 of the final 11 batters to wrap up the complete game.

All three teams will return to the diamond this week. Clemson plays Georgia in a home-and-away series on Tuesday and Wednesday, while Florida State takes on in-state rival Florida at the Baseball Grounds of Jacksonville on Tuesday before facing Jacksonville on Wednesday and Virginia entertains Towson for two games.
