Danny/Dabo comparison, for those who can't comprehend . . .

Nobody is saying that Dabo = Danny. At least not that I have seen.

No two things that are ever compared are the same. If they were, no comparison would be necessary. Only things that are different are compared. Danny and Dabo are different, but also have some things in common; thus a comparison is possible.

1. Danny was a no-name position coach at Clemson with no HC experience.

2. Dabo was a no-name position coach at Clemson with only 6 games HC experience.

3. Danny went on to win a National Championship and be perhaps the most successful and revered coach ever at Clemson.

4. Not being a successful head coach with an extensive proven record of success is not a requisite to being an extremely successful head coach at the highest level.

5. Therefore, Dabo's lack of an extensive proven record and lack of HC experience does not by any means indicate that he can not be successful at Clemson. In fact, it demonstrates that Dabo can indeed be extremely successful while possessing those characteristics.

Why is that so hard to understand?

You forgot that both had to take over as HC before the season was over.
