ESPN's FPI .... And all God's children said - BULL!

Aug 19, 2017, 10:21 AM

It's not that CU is ranked #6, it's that the Coots are ranked #32 (only one spot behind VT) with a projected 6-6 record. Give me a break.

It's a computer projection. Garbage in garbage out. Pretty sure they still had us behind Bama last season even after we beat them.

All computer rankings had Bama ahead of us last year after we beat them***

More SEC inflation, highest rated team for each win total:

Aug 19, 2017, 1:59 PM

Alabama - 10.7
Auburn - 9.6
LSU - 8.4
Florida - 7.9
Texas A&M - 6.7

So if you are in the SEC it means you must be ranked the highest for the group of teams projected with your win total (whole number, throw away decimal part).

I also don't understand how your projected wins and losses can sum to more than 12.0?

We played 15 games last season***

Snowflake Basher........Out

Yes, but at this point, no team guaranteed more than 12.

nm

But some teams have a higher chance to get to

Aug 20, 2017, 5:20 AM

13 games or more and that is reflected in the total.

Rounding errors I assumes?

A team projected to play 12.8 games has an 80% chance to make the conference title game

Etc

It amazes me after so many years of growth...

when we lose less starters than almost anyone else all the sports media can see is our guys who leave.

Changes come slowly in football. It takes years to build a program that is so loaded with talent that they compete at the highest level three or four years in a row. Same ole, same ole, win and we're in.
