I particularly like the one about trophise, should there be a Clemson-Bama III, etc..

That S&P thing is a joke, contrived to use as a tool to

always put the SEC on top.You don't need stats to say who is the best when you can just look at the outcomes of games.

That's not true at all. Connelly is absolutely not an SEC

homer. His team wasn't even in the SEC until 2012. Just because you don't agree with his metrics doesn't mean they are agenda-driven.

Yeah. It really is amazing that they throw all those stats at you. But they never once mention how all the head to head matchups came out.

Head-to-head isn't always a great measure of teams either

Jul 29, 2017, 9:21 AM

Do you really think Pitt was better than us last year?

If you only look at one game, the sample size is too small to be useful.
The ACC/SEC played multiple games last year and the ACC mostly came out on top.
The headline said the ACC was better. But the article seemed to question whether that
was true with a lot of stats showing the SEC slightly better.
It's pretty easy to cherry pick stats and spin things the way you want.

How about an article by the creator of the S&P+ in which he states the ACC, not the SEC, was the best conference last year.

Yes, I don't see how the numbers could say anything but ACC

last year. Everyone agrees it was ACC head and shoulders.
