We lost a serviceable QB Joyner but got Trevor Lawrence.

What exactly did we miss out on? A low downfield completion percentage?

He's going to be a solid backup WR before it's all said and done!

He is a heck of an athlete now can't take that away from him, if he does move to another posistion I don't see him riding the bench. There is a reason we still offered him as a ATH. If Clemson still wanted him to be apart of this 18 class just as ATH then he is good enough to start for carolina as ATH, clemson coaches saw is potential and tons of athletic ability and thought he could benifit us so I know for a fact if they thought he could benifit our talented roster he dang sure can do the same on Uscjr pitful roster.

The guy looked pretty talented

Not sure he'll be a great thrower, but I wish we could've taken him in addition to Lawrence.

Agree 100%. i wanted him to sign with us. no doubt he does not have the arm of TL, but will be a good duel threat qb with good size at 6'2" 200 lbs and was a Clemson fan. He wanted to come to Clemson, unfortunately for him we only had one slot available.

Exactly 6 2 200+ pounds and has great ability with the ball in his hands, I think he could have made a Braxton Miller type move to WR and have success there or if he could tackle well I think he could been ball hawk as well. I did want him to be a Tiger bc he is fast, quick, flashes tons of athletic ability and on film could make plays with the ball in his hand. Though i didn't like his throwing motion and throws off back foot and stuff a lot doesn't step into throws so see why not offered as qb for us but could have played another posistion but oh well now we got to destroy him on the field lol

we didn't lose out on any type of QB, most schools were recruiting him as a DB***

Joyner would never see the field at Clemson as a QB...

Jul 26, 2017, 11:41 AM

and he knows it, and barring something unforeseen, the likelihood that he ever plays a down at $CU as a QB is a long shot as well.

Before his collegiate career ends, he'll be a defensive back.

Sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together.
