Number of offers per school

Jul 26, 2017, 8:33 AM

This is a pretty amazing chart, really shows you that some of these schools just offer anybody without them really fitting into any sort of culture.

satellite camps weren't worth the trouble for them. 32 offers! They must have an awfully high commitments/offers ratio.

They do, I saw in a poll once that Stanford had the "most desirable" scholarship with Clemson 2nd. It's due to academic success and life after football success due to the education level they also receive. This is a great thing but also hurts the recruiting process slightly as your players typically stay longer giving you less spots allowed as they hold tight to their scholarship longer.

SEC has 11 teams in the top 25. Who would have thunk it?
I thought they would all be in the top 14.

Geville Tiger on Clemson football , "Dabo's only problem is he has to deal with turd fans questioning every move he makes.”

Conversely.....I wonder how many players each school

Jul 26, 2017, 9:38 AM

"runs off" every spring in an effort to upgrade their depth.....it certainly seems as though usuck chases 20 or so players away at the end of spring semester in addition to their normal attrition rate----I don't have REAL numbers for the number of players usuck has signed each of the last few years, but it certainly seems like its been far above the 25 number allowed by the SEC. Every year, the chickens run off players who've put in a couple of years of sweat equity to earn their schollie only to have the usuck staff advise them they have little chance of playing and should transfer elsewhere.....thus freeing up a scholarship for what is hopefully (but rarely) a more talented player.
