Maybe last year was all smoke and mirrors. Were we really a .500 team masquerading as National Champs?

Look at it closely.

"because AT THE END OF THE GAME everyone knew that they were not that much better than us or better than us at all."

He's right. At the end of the game when we had our 3rd team walk on's in the game, we were barely better than them. Their starters had a 13 play, 64 yard drive and turned over on downs. Our barely scholarship players only had a 15 play, 68 yard drive for a TD.

We were only 2 plays, 4 yards and 7 points better.


Bentley's PTSD blocked out the 1st and 2nd quarters as a defense mechanism. He was still in hiding the 3rd quarter. When he was sure that the bear had left the area, he poked his head back out and saw the last 2 drives.

Ah ha! Very perceptive of you to figure out what he was trying to say, our 3rd team (all of whom we really appreciate,) were barely better than them. I think we've been misunderstanding him, you've got it!
