with this team? I know a losing streak and late season swoon can wreak havoc on moral but the team AND coaches seem to look very uninspired and frustrated, almost depressed. We have a bunch of talented individuals but they just don't seem to synergize that together. IDK, been a very frustrating thing to watch and I know 100x more frustrating for the team themselves. Man ohhhh man. ??

no....been around these kids a lot and I haven't seen any of that. Injuries (Williams has really hurt, and the loss of Crawford and Miller) have played a big part, which has meant kids that regularly wouldn't be pitching are pitching in big spots. Add in Beer's struggles and the defensive miscues at bad times and it leads to a lack of confidence. Of course, don't take anything away from Duke...they played like every one of their fielders was a gold glover

Thanks David. Good to hear there is nothing visible from a close observor like you. There has definitely been a ton of tough luck for our team, unfortunately combined with head scratching play. It is just hard to see them lose to teams that are clearly less talented or see them swept by anybody. Even with the injuries I think our team has just lost it's mojo. We still have enough talent to play way better than we have. Luckily, the season is not over but there is no time left to get that much needed sense of urgency. I still think we have it in us but it's time. Dig deep guys!

Duke did play like gold gloves but that's what kept them going all year. We once again made a bad team look good.

Seems our players wear concrete shoes and opponents wear rocket booster shoes.
