and defense. Before Holbrooke, Tanner had never had a pitcher make the majors. He'd ride 1 pitcher till he puked. Back when we played 2 on the weekend and 2 weeknight games, Tanner pitched Kip Bauknight 3 times against us. Tanner was the king of the 3 run home run and nothing else.

Holbrook brought pitching and defense from UNC and was the perfect complement to Tanner.
