I feel like a parent when my kids left the nest. So happy and proud of him. Just a perfect fit for him for so many reasons (veteran playoff team, Hopkins, Reeder, Chad Morris not too far away). At 16:00 mark the Texans GM shuts down any nonsense about those critical of his game.
I don't have any kids, but if this is what it's like it blows. Don't get me wrong. I'm extremely excited for Deshaun and his family, but I'm feeling a little melancholy because I didn't realize how I would be knowing he's moved on. Oh well, if he hadn't done such a phenomenal job at CU, I would say on to the next, but seeing him in Houston living his dream must be what a proud parent feels like when they drop their kids off at college for the first time.
