they go to the grocery store for. I imagine Joe Thomas meant he went for one thing and forgot it, but didn't make that clear. If that was the case that would be worse.

He goes on to say that he knows the potential consequences for playing the game, but that the payoff and lifestyle that him and his family gets to live is greater than those consequences.

For me the single issue with the whole deal is...these guys are CHOOSING to play this game, but at the same time they will complain about getting injured.

Grown men running as fast as they can into each other is going to cause injuries. If you do not want to get hurt, do not play. But if you want to play and get that lottery style payday that 1% of the world ever sees, then accept whatever injuries that may come.

There are other dangerous things they could be choosing to do with their time, for far less money. (example: Police Officer)
