Classic FGF

From "CockyinMTP" why USC recruiting is "better":

"Those recruiting rankings don't measure heart! They don't measure pride! They don't measure toughness! But, coach Boom does!

XT and all of his top level talent friends at his fancy football high school can go to Clemson. Coach Boom wants the tough kid who goes to his local public high school, with the kids he grew up with b/c he is loyal. Boom doesn't want the all-star, he wants the kid that got beat up for his lunch money as a freshman and learned to fight back. He didn't want that all-star McIllwain, he wanted a kid who had to work for everything he got, a kid who maybe wasn't a starter all throughout high school, someone gritty like Jake Bentley. Coach Boom will have a team of rocky balboas."

I, for one, agree with this wise poster and hope they keep

taking the kids who got beat up for their lunch money.

Success breeds complacency. Complacency breeds failure. Only the paranoid survive.

So now Boom has TWO criteria for offering a recruit?

The recruit must have:

(1) Attended one of Boom's camps

(2) Been beaten up for his lunch money

Dishonorably discharged from the Ring of Honor

I would argue he has 3 now. He didn't want them starting on

their high school team the whole time. So basically second string.

I'm begining to think coach boom is a mole...

But it doesn't change the fact we're still taking their lunch money.

That has to be a troll. Could a real coot really be that confused about how championships are won? I know they have no experience with it, but surely they've paid attention to how other teams do it.

you can tell Jake Bentley has to work for everything he has got.

He didn't want McIllwain but instead wanted Bentley?

Didn't he bench Bentley against us to play McIllwain? After seeing how Bentley played against us, if Boom wants a whole team of those guys then I'm cool with that.

Considering how many players the chickens run off

every year and the huge classes they sign, it's easy to conclude they're not even getting players who got beat up for their lunch money

Makes total sense. Clemson must be the one beating them up and taking their lunch money

He must be trying something new in cootville. Cause coach kaboom tried the 4 and 5 star talent at Florida and it didn't work out for him. So I guess he figures 2 and 3 stars might work down there.

Could you imagine the pep rally Boom gives his coaches everyday as they are supposed to be great recruiters but they can't get anyone the want to commit and Boom is running around talking about they must come to his camp to get signed when most kids know that's not much of a camp compared to their rival who's killing them.

" a team of Rocky Balboas"????..

More like a team of Rocky Raccoons.

Doesn't measure the Dumba$&edness of his post either. Shame it would have rated higher than any Coot recruit.
