Nelson "MAC" Carter

Mar 26, 2017, 9:19 PM

I apologize if this has already been posted, but we lost a great Clemson man Friday night. Mac grew up in the small community of Sandy Bay, less than a mile from myself. He lost his dad at a very early age, and after graduating Kingstree high school, made his way to Columbia and went to work for 3D. He stayed there many years, then, he and a partner began their own very successful business. He was a huge Clemson supporter, and Iptay man. I went to the 1978 Clemson Carolina game with he, and his brother Harry! We went on my dads tickets, many years later, he invited me to go to the Florida State game with him and Harry. Just felt the need to post, he was as kind a man as I have been blessed to know, and truly, his blood ran Orange! Rest in Peace, "Droopy", you were the epitome of what a Clemson gentlemen is!
