wonder if some promises weren't kept or if he legitimately changed his mind? UMass is A-10 and a definite step up from Winthrop, but they have struggled many years now

you have to talk to guys who have had the success of a Crean or Thompson. At least explore the possibility. I could see both taking a year off and going the media route for a year. Oklahoma St and Cal are the bigger jobs they'd possibly be a candidate for, but what is their interest?

Both coming off long tenures may want a year to recharge and let their agents do some groundwork over the next year.

Hot seats next year: Clemson, Georgia, Pitt, BC, DePaul, Penn St, Nebraska, Texas A&M, Auburn, and I'm sure others
