Talk about egotistical balderdash. No way Mike Williams hangs around just to go to the Cowboys. The audacity.
CBS Sports' Insider Rob Rang mocks WR Mike Williams to Cowboys This selection would turn the NFL on its ear, and the Dallas Cowboys' organization itself.

Many believe the Dallas Cowboys will go defense with their 28th overall selection, but not everyone is on board with that narrative.
There's a faction who thinks the team will surprise everyone with an offensive selection, and if you're anticipating it to be at right tackle -- a position of grievous need due to the retirement of Doug Free -- you'd be wrong in this instance.
According to Rob Rang of CBS Sports, the Cowboys are in the market to overload their wide receiver corps.
28. Dallas Cowboys
Mike Williams, WR, Clemson: By allowing multiple members of their secondary to walk in free agency, it seems like that the Cowboys will address that position early and potentially often in the draft. A cornerback like UCLA’s Fabian Moreau or Ohio State’s Gareon Conley would appear to make sense. Picking this late, however, puts Dallas in position to potentially get a steal if following the best player available strategy. At 6-4, 218 pounds, Williams offers a similar catch radius and physicality as current Cowboys’ star Dez Bryant, potentially giving Dallas one of the NFL’s most imposing duos of receivers.

The problem with this selection is that it directly contradicts the re-signing of Terrance Williams to a four-year, $17M contract.
In securing that deal, along with retaining Brice Butler, the Cowboys aren't placing a premium on drafting a wide receiver in the first round that could undermine what they believe they have in (Terrance) Williams -- as he's set to be the WR2 opposite Bryant for nearly the next half decade.
The Clemson star is certainly seductive on the field, though, having bounced back from a 2015 season missed due to a fractured neck to haul in 1,369 yards and 11 touchdowns, which marks the second time he's broken the 1,000-yard marker in two consecutive healthy seasons.
A tremendous talent with a stellar upside, the Cowboys would do well to make this selection at 28 -- if they hadn't already inked their future at the position.
