Yale Coning to Clemson

The Yale baseball team will be in Clemson for single games next Tuesday and Wednesday. The third baseman and captain of the Yale team (Richard Slinker)is the grandson of one of my best WW2 buddies. His parents will arrive on Monday and be here for the series. His Mother is the daughter of my deceased buddy. I've been in touch with her for the past two or three years but this will be our first meeting. I've shared many stories about her Dad and have a lot more to share. His nickname was "Spoon" and I have a WW2 Army spoon I will present to her.
