Dakereon is no longer considering Clemson since CU is recruiting him as an athlete and not a QB.

Alabama had great success last season with an elusive quarterback in Jalen Hurts and this week the Crimson Tide offered a quarterback of a similar mold in Dakereon Joyner of Fort Dorchester. "I guess so, definitely a dual-threat kinda guy. I'm extremely blessed and thankful. Not many people get this opportunity. I been there before but I will visit back. Joyner had planned to visit Oregon this weekend but that visit will be rescheduled. He's also looking at visits to Georgia and Auburn in the near future plus a return visit to USC.

That may be accurate. Difference between Hurts and Joyner though is that Hurts didn't have to be the superstar for Alabama to win games. If Joyner goes to SC he can't have games like Hurts had against Clemson or SC will get pounded

I think Dak is going to be much better than Hurts. I really hope he stays away from the coots.

How can you make that assessment if Joyner hasn't even touched a college field yet. Hurts just led his to team to a national championship appearance as a TRUE freshman and you're already saying some high school kid will be better than hurts?

Hurts was never put in a position where he had to win his team a game (With the exception of his 30yd TD run in the NCG which should have been called back for holding anyways). If Alabama's defense wasn't so dominant they would have probably lost at least 1-2 regular season games...maybe more depending on Bo Scarborough's performance.

It's almost a certainty that if Clemson doesn't get a committment from Trevor Lawrence, that Joyner is a Tiger pledge right now (as a QB) and we're overjoyed as fans to have him headed our way.
I think he's going to be a really good QB for some team.

If he goes to SC want he have to wait a year or two behind " He should still be in HS" Bentley?? Is he willing to wait on playing time.
Brandon McEllwain found out the hard way Clemson was right he would have a chance at more playing time at another position. Now he is transferring out.

are the real deal and both are headed to columbia, i think..perhaps xt to follow, for the same reasons.
we will maintain dirtpekker dominance, but there's only one direction their program can go..kids like dak and ortre - or even xt - might not play for 2 years at clemson (dak would never see the field), but they both have the potential to leave columbia as coot greats..ortre has hands like nuk, believe it or not..barring injury, he'll play on sundays.
i wanna beat the shamecox every time we play 'em, in every sport, but i want my home boys (dak and ortre) to do wey'ull, even in hey'ull.

Otre looks slow on film to me.
Dakereon looks like a little deshaun on film to me. Wish we had more room. Bama would love that cat.
I know he is smart enough to want out of SC if no Clemson offer. He's not retarded.
Oregon or Auburn would be best FIT IMO.

never been impressed with him, at all.
So many of us question Kelly Bryant here at Clemson- and
being able to make all the throws. But I think Bryant maybe
just as capable as Hurts. Honestly, if I were Saban...
Hurts would be moved to RB.
