considering they played an incredibly weak schedule and still only managed to beat just one team with a winning record.
Progress? Perhaps!
Successful? I don't think so!
Of course, "successful" is a relative term and by $CU standards, 6-7 may be considered a success.

Let's give credit where credit is due. They had a fantastic season. Three of their six wins were against teams with a combined total of seven wins and these three teams scored more points against the Gamecocks than did their SEC opponents. With a tough schedule like that, they deserve at least a participation trophy. I heard Dabo gathered the team together at 7:56 PM on Nov.26, and told the team if they had a pretty good lead on the Gamecocks in the third quarter he would call off the dogs. And he did !!!
