I honestly don't think he'd accept the job.

I've know Gregg personally since we very young and for him, it's really not a matter of money.

What's the issue?***

First of all...

Jan 20, 2017, 12:36 AM

he's already making $3 million+ per year at Wichita and he has proven he can compete for a national basketball championship there; something that would be much more difficult at Clemson.

He has been approached by several other programs, including UCLA, North Carolina State, Missouri, Texas A&M, and Alabama, and he turned-down all of them.

He's also very loyal, particularly to the administration at Wichita for what they’ve done for him and the program.

Finally, he thinks Wichita is one of the top jobs in the country because they have the ability to win, the team receives a very high level of support, they lack for nothing, they travel first class, and they have first-class facilities".

Personally, I think it's largely the level of support and the ability to win.

Shocker basketball is the main sport on campus

I don't think his ego would allow it.

He is a big fish in a small pond at Wichita State, both at the school and in that conference. He would make more money at Clemson, and be coaching in a much better conference, but he would also be more restricted by Clemson's tougher academic requirements and would have a much more difficult path to the postseason.

Don't get me wrong, I think he is a very good coach and we should interview him if he is interested, but I just don't see him being willing to give up what he has at Wichita State.

I just SMH at some of the coach suggestions I see on here.

Marshall is at a better job making more money than we would be willing to spend already
