Right now, I would still put Danny first with Dabo a very very close second nipping at his heels. Dabo IMO will pass him in the next two years as soon as he adds another ACC championship and likely with that another CFP appearance.

Dabo is better
Danny won with red parkers recruits. We were loaded with talent when Danny became HC. Danny did keep the ball rolling though. Dabo had to start from scratch pretty much.
Our players as a group do better Academically that when Danny was HC.
Dabo never has had the NCAA black cloud above him like Danny did.
Dabo better in my book

Parker's last year was 1976. Pell and Ford were on staff and recruited that class and Pell's 2, 77 & 78. Those plus Ford's 79 and 80 classes won the NC.

Danny won 5 ACC titles playing 6&7 conference games

Dabo won a share of the division 5 times playing 8 conference games. Dabo has passed Danny, needs no further ACC titles to do so.

it was debatable before dabo won a title, now it isn't

gonna #### off some folks here but the fact is THIS is the best era after clemson football. the Ford era was great for 2 reasons: won a title in '81 and ended almost every year with a bowl win against a big name school. there was only 1 title run. after that the highest we were ever ranked was 3 for a couple of weeks in '88 before puntrooskie. every year there were complete head scratching losses to unranked teams. we were a defensive juggernaut but the offense left a lot to be desired. we also were not a very clean program at that time. sometimes we suffer from revisionist history.

Frank Howard. He trolled the countryside and raised IPTAY from its birth to the greatest fundraising program in the nation during a time when folks were so poor that none here can fathom.
