home. I also will occasionally hook up the amplified rabbit ears to try to pull in a news station from Spartanburg or Greenville. Did you know that the most uncompressed signal in the form of rabbit ears offers the most immediate viewing of a tv broadcast. The cable tv signal runs 2 to 3 seconds behind the antennae. Likewise, the DirecTV broadcast runs 6 to 8 seconds behind cable tv & sadly, the cable modem streaming runs 60 to 80 seconds behind the satellite broadcast. This does vary somewhat depending on what type of show you're watching. So if you're depending on streaming for your live content, you're really not getting live action. Just a glorified playback.
