"Dabo" Playing to Win vs Playing to Beat

Dec 11, 2016, 6:34 AM

There is no room or place on The Football Field for Mr. Nice Guy anymore
Clemson gets little to no respect from the Media or other Teams
This is not the same time in history as ole time or yesterday College Football
where getting a win doing whats right on and off the field or playing the best a player can
I for 1 would not have wanted 3 of the last 4 winners of the Heisman Trophy
to ever wear a Clemson Football Uniform
With today's TV's Media & use of Social Media like Twitter & FB
it's all about the #'s not about The "W" more about The Beat
Might just be my 0.02 worth but using it I have Parlayed into many $'s

Disagree. Our "nice guys" are doing just fine.i can't buy the'everybody's doing it' argument nor do I think we should aim for the lowest common denominator. Btw, congratulations to Mr. Jackson. He is a great athlete. But I'd take DW4 any and every day!

Maybe I could have made it a little more clear
How many times have the announcers talked about
Clemson going conservative playing not to lose
many on here talking about not putting the brakes on
#10 getting flagged for hitting too hard on a legal hit
Playing with the mindset of being happy of a 1 point "W"
when it could have been by 14 points or more
The Pitt game was played not to lose where it could have been played
to win
Winning by 1 point is great if that's all the Tigers can do
56-7=Beat not just a W
Being up 21 points and win by 7= W (ACCCG)
over the last 10 years many games have left ?'s
not long ago @ FSU our tigers were the best team
came up short on the score board but they played to beat
Last year our Tigers Beat Alabama but came up short on points
I like to see our Tigers get all the points they can
Not being the best team but playing the best they can
"All In" means many things depends on whom you're talking with

Read my Lips.
It's a "Popularity" Award, not the "Most Valuable Award".
