Recruiting season has just begun this week. Schools without a solid HC in place now will be at a disadvantage.

I'm sure bama had a clause that he can't leave during season unless approved or what not. They wouldn't leave themselves open to that; or would Houston encourage that because he could turn around and do that to them when/if he climbs the ladder

too risky for a big P5 school, but Houston can afford to gamble on him and see whether or not he's matured. If things work out they probably get 2-3 more years of being an elite G5 team and possibly get that jump up to a P5 conference that they really want.
