Who picks up Leggett's slack in 2017?

Dec 6, 2016, 1:49 PM

Jordan Leggett has been a huge and important piece to our offense the last two seasons. All the backup tight ends seem similar to me. My guess is we might see more passes out the backfield to Feaster to compensate the loss of Leggett.

I think you will see Clemson use more 4 wr sets next year

to help offset the loss. I also think that Richard and Williams will be the top tes.

In no particular order:

Grant Radakovich
Milan Richard
Cannon Smith

Maybe Cannon Smith can come along, or maybe this RS year was good for a guy like JC Chalk...just pointing out viable receiving threats from the TE position. Leggett definitely grew into one of the great Clemson TE's, shaking the Lazy Leggett label and becoming a staple for our offense. It made me really appreciate how important to this offense he is when he went down in the ACCCG. It was definitely a nervous moment.

Someone will step up. Just like Leggett stepped up when Ford left and Ford stepped up when Allen left. Clemson has produced some great TE's over the last few years. It will continue next year. Go Tigers.
