invitees probably is a bad sign. That means there was a more random distribution among at least four of the players, as they would need at least two finalists to attend, if not three. The fact that Peppers was invited makes me think that the 2-5 invitees had marginal differences between each other, which would seem to favor the early leader, Jackson.
I hope my reasoning is way off and DW wins the award. He certainly represents what is best about college sports, and student athletes. Unfortunately, all too often, the Heisman has not been awarded in line with those attributes, i.e. Manziel, and Winston.
