SC's QB "that should be in high school"

Dec 5, 2016, 3:07 PM

Forgive me but Bentley is 19. I remember being 17 when I graduated and turning 18 a week before my Freshman year. I am not saying that this is not the standard age for a Freshman QB in today's college football, but I love how all the talking heads have picked up on this phrase and run with it. He may be the correct age, but he is not exactly Doogie Howser.

He was held back in school so he'd look better on film.

When you're 18 as a HS junior you look like a 4* junior when you're really a 2.5-3* senior.

he was held back because he is dumb as a brick***

On Bentley's first start against UMass ...

Dec 5, 2016, 3:18 PM

... he was 32 days younger than Watson was when he was throwing TDs against UGA.

Yeah, he's like sooooooooooo young or something.

Judging by their play and ability

Dec 5, 2016, 3:58 PM

Most of the QB's in the SEC ought to be in high school, so I fail to see how that's a viable excuse.
