Keys to Victory Last Night - and Mistakes to keep it close

Great Win. Was way to stressful of a game. I don't remember a game so frustrating to watch.
Keys to Victory
1) DW4 always pushing forward and making the plays
2) The third down catch by Renfrow
3) The STOP we made in Q3 after DW interception
4) DW4 Running in Q3
5) All the playmakers stepping it up when needed - especially Leggett
Kept it Close
1) 11 man no rush - worst call of a play I can remember - we were in control…keep doing what you are doing
2) backing off on the pressure on their QB in Q3/Q4..
2) offensive line collapse in Q2
3) VERY VERY POOR PUNTING
4) two bobbled finger tip catches by VT go for key yardage - on fake punt and on the jump pass
5) Defense getting on their heels at failing to tackle once that happened.

Not as much as usual, but some. Herbie pointed out in the 4th quarter, "Clemson just ran the same sequence of plays as when they got bogged down in the 2nd quarter." Yep, Jeff, if it didn't work the first time, it probably won't work the second...
And could we Puh-Leeze get rid of that #### tunnel screen once and for all. We have had positive yardage (6 yards) on that play exactly once all year. Just saying...

Yeah we can't execute that tunnel screen for Jack. It worked against USuCk (MW scored on it), but anything works against USuCk. That play loses yards every time. Also, draw plays need to be thrown out of our playbook. We can't execute them either. No success on them all year.

The No Rush Play - I thought I was in the twilight zone

We had the game in hand.
If I remember, it was 3rd and 9. VT had gone pretty conservative.
Either blitz or just rush 4.
No rush….what outcome can you expect?
AGAIN - WORST PLAY CALL I HAVE EVER SEEN - 55 Years of watching college and clemson football

It was 3rd and 12, and we had them on their heels. If you give a college quarterback the football and 10 seconds to stand there with no pressure, he WILL find a receiver. BV said it was "cover 11, zone blitz." I guess someone didn't get the message... actually eleven someones. Like you, I'm a veteran of Clemson football for over 60 years, and that was absolutely the worst play call-- offense or defense-- I've ever seen. I really don't understand it.
Fortunately, even though that play totally changed momentum, the Tigers prevailed!

How can you omit the big plays by Renfro? Without them we possibly lose this game. Wonder why he played sparingly?
