but I am not all that impressed with Paul Finebaum.

I have no idea why anyone of his ilk is included in championship discussions. He makes too many vanilla Bama drumbeats and really never brings anything fresh or exciting to the table, with his radar ears, old geezer liplicks and wide flat smiles, while his beady little eyes trying to peer at us through those bottle shields. Appears he is incapable of ever passing the eye test, imo.

I mean, does the guy ever make a valid point?

I think they should only have former players or coaches as analysts on these sports shows....

Get rid of the Finebaums and Mike Wilbons of the world and it will be a lot more bearable to watch.

Agree, I like it when knowledgeable ex players/coaches break schemes down within the discussion; actually is some useful knowledge, not a generalization that any average Joe can make on their own, usually biased, opinion.
