ESPN Jalen Hurts for Heisman: Can anyone make sense of this?

READ THIS:

"No, Hurts isn't the best player in the nation. He isn't even the best player in his conference or the best player on his own team. But the Heisman Trophy isn't always reserved for the best player in the country, either."

I tried to make sense of it and it came to a conclusion that Heisman Trophy is trash. That's the only way it makes sense, given the above statement.

That's a lot of spins from ESPN for SEC.

The problem with the Heisman is that there are too many voters and I'd argue that most of them are the wrong voters. If it wasn't for all of the hype that ESPN gives the Heisman ceremony the award would probably be meaningless.

I read some articles last year that some voters didn't even watch football. These voters cast their vote based on the information they read, which was mostly influenced by ESPN.

No one is buying what a ESPN is selling on Jalen Hurts. Nothing about Hurts wows you, sure he makes plays but nothing Heisman worthy
