Been listening to all the talking head this week, who always miss some interesting details concerning scores and stats:
The Troy Trojan's beat Southern Miss 2 Saturdays ago 37-31.
For those who don't know, Southern Miss was the team that beat the SEC's Kentucky 44-35 in Week 1.
Troy also beat New Mexico State 52-6 last weekend. I know it's NMState, but Troy has been looking pretty competitive since Neal Brown returned to their staff last year.
I also want to add that Louisville's cross divisional rival in the ACC is UVA (because Maryland bolted to the Big 10). Their other Coastal Division game will be against Duke at home, and then their rivalry game will be against Kentucky at the end of the year (same team that lost to Southern Miss).
Other than their game against Houston, I don't see any major road blocks for them for the rest of the year.
Also note that USF lit up FSU and Syracuse, 2 teams that lousiville played. FSU got their offense back on track for the USF matchup but their defense still looked bad.
I think we will score 35-45 pts and our defense will hold them to 30ish.
They look pretty good, but my point is that their schedule aside from Clemson, Houston (FSU who will be better by the end of October when we play them at home), is pretty weak out of conference and division.
These teams that they have beaten are looking pretty bad.
