... committable offer from Duke, UNC, or even NC State?

The answer is not in a long, long time ... if ever.

But, that's probably a better gauge than "star-rating" and all-american accolades for any real progress we might be making in recruiting for basketball.

As long as we never get any guys that our top ACC schools actually want, then the battle for the upper third of the ACC is going to hinge on the ability of our coaches to spot "sleeper" talent and guys who they can groom into legit players in a couple of years.

That's the way it is and that's the way it's pretty much always been.
