Spiller roster spot might not be safe

The New Orleans Times-Picayune is "not so sure" C.J. Spiller's roster spot is safe.
The paper reports it is possible the Saints try to trade Spiller during camp or cut him outright. Clearly behind Tim Hightower and with Travaris Cadet angling for work in the passing game, Spiller needs a strong and healthy camp to keep his job. Spiller has 776 total yards in the last two seasons. Jul 26 - 12:45 PM

Hugely disappointing pro career for CJ and I can't help but think he's on the downswing of it. CJ relied on his superior quickness and athleticism at Clemson, but that alone isn't enough in the NFL. You have to have better instincts in finding holes and be able to lower your shoulder and shed tackles- two things that CJ has not shown that he can do in the NFL.

He also spent his prime in buffalo...

And had injury problems.

Could have been a really great back in the NFL. In 2012 he rushed for over1200 yards and averaged a ridiculous 6 yards a carry. He also had 450 receiving yards and averaged over 10 yards a catch. Even in 2013 when he wasn't as successful, he averaged a respectable 4.6 yards per carry on over 200 carries.

Well CJ was obviously not 100% last year due to injury. Rooting for him to have a great comeback season this year wherever that may be. Praying he can stay healthy.
