They will be unpleasantly surprised , the nostalgic homers in the crowd . . Those realistic enough to see that Clemson has passed them in the pecking order are hoping they can keep it close and possibly pull a big upset . They are like UGA fans ...give them a reason to crow and they crow . most AllBarn fans realize that they start the season 0-1 .

That article lost a lot of credibility when he got to #3. Somehow they forgot to mention Kevin Steele and how teams can hang 70 on his defenses. I guess if one wants to dream, then they may as well dream big. Auburn goes down in a blaze of glory.

I guess their putting all of their faith in the D getting better after Cusschamp left. Many WET* fans blame their abysmal SEC record last season all on him.
WET = War Eagle Tigers. Since they won't choose a mascot, we'll give them both.

Didn't put a qualifier. Better than Clemson's? Better than last year's? This guy argues for a strong defense this year by saying that AU hasn't had a top 25 ranked D since 2007, so why not this year?

#2 home field. The last time we played there we brought a lot of orange. We out traveled every team we faced during the championship run last year and I suspect a lot of Clemson orange will be at this game as well.

You are basically saying Auburm's coaching staff is better than Dabo and Co. (not so my friend)
Dabo and his staff will have Clemson ready to play.
We will a lot of fans there too!
Dabo has a few tricks up his sleeve too! ( IMO Dabo has learned much from the on side kick in the NC game )
Smoke and mirrors will not work against
Clemson.

but i am also not already counting a w..most clemson faithful have no idea of the hatred awbuhn folks hold for all things bama - and dabo represents bama to many of 'em..and to ensure the enmity lasts forever, when we beat awbuhn in awbuhn to end their last post-natty win streak, dabo proclaimed on national television that "it was appropriate that the streak was ended by a bama man"..as an awbuhn native but all-in 100% orange/purple blooded 1983 clemson grad, i emailed cds a reminder that "he is a clemson man now".. many awbuhners will never forget that comment and will be at jordan-hare loud and proud to do all they can to make him eat those words.
add to the mix that we fought them for several recruits that are now among their star players - and vice versa - and one realizes that (except for qb and wr, perhaps) the talent gap is not major..awbuhn playin' at home as a double-digit underdog is insufficient to allow me anything but "concerned confidence"..i may talk trash, but it will only be post-game.
