Baseball recruiting is so hard.

You evaluate a kid hoping the pros miss.

And college baseball shouldn't have it either. Taking kids out of their homes and putting them directly into a mans world isn't healthy for those "kids" I don't think. In college they have more time to grow with adult guidance still looking after and taking care of their well being while they are at the door of becoming a young man without being totally on their own. I personally wouldn't want my son graduating HS and jumping straight into a full grown adult world with people who only care about their talent!!!

Well, some college coaches don't care too much about

their pitchers' futures. Some try to win at all costs by having them throw an absurd number pitches and sometimes come back after short rest. In the pros, that won't happen since they are seen as a long-term investment.

What do you think happens to people who don't go to college?

Jun 13, 2016, 10:16 AM [ in reply to Re: Well he's gone-I think this is the toughest ]

they're taken out of their homes and put directly into a man's world.

What about 18 year olds who join the military? That's way tougher than going into minor league baseball.

Logan Davidson from Providence HS in Charlotte is thought to be a high pick, but haven't seen any specific projection.

the only good politician is a dead politician.

Doesn't mean he'll get the slot value. That's the amount

Jun 10, 2016, 4:22 PM [ in reply to Well he's gone ]

teams get for that slot, they can spend their total allotment however they want.

Travis MacGregor v. Travis Marr

Jun 10, 2016, 1:57 PM

I don't see a Travis MacGregor in the baseball signing list released in November. I see a Travis Marr. What am I missing? Thanks.
