Artavis

What are people saying about Artavis, as far as going or staying for his senior year? I think he's the type of guy that would benefit greatly from staying all four years.
He developed into a more complete receiver this past year, in large part because the coaches challenged him to do so and the passing game became a lot more vertical under Scott/Elliot than it ever was under Chad Morris. With that being said, I think staying for that extra year would give him a chance to show off even more of that improvement, considering Mike Williams will be our #1 deep/downfield threat next year.
There's not necessarily an easy answer to this question, however, because of the depth and talent we'll have at WR for the next several years.

Know 1 thing, bama DB slapped down onto his outstretched hands &

Deprived him of a great TD catch...and this early touching and/or interference that disallowed the WR a chance to catch the ball was not called.
Still, with the defenders arm across his extended arms first Scott still pulls the ball in & up to his chest, with the defender's arm being first..for a TD until the last second when the defender pulls his arm out, and out comes the ball as they slide across the end zone.

I vaguely remember the play you're talking about. Still can't bring myself to watch a replay of that game yet.

He should have a huge year with Deshaun Watson's last year. The team will have a huge year too. I don't see his stock going up, but you never know. I would be surprised if he returned after the huge year he is about to have.

Artavis will graduate in December and then declare for the draft with Deshaun and likely Gallman. That's the plan unless he gets hurt or does not have the type of year he anticipates.

Tay was special in Athens in 2014 (first game).
Went up and grab the ball over the DAWG!!!
If he stays healthy, he will be headed to the NFL in 2017.
Have enjoyed watching him play.
Danced with the Chickens in DV in 2014 right into the endzone!
Tay Rocks!!!!

It's already been stated that this year would be his last year. Amari Rodgers said it after he committed too

Man, once you follow recruiting and read about these kids it seems like their time here is come and gone in no time.

I don't see how a 4th year would help him

The only thing that would improve his draft stock after this season is growing a few inches.

from a pro....

meaning myself
I don't see Scott as a high draft choice, as JUST a receiver. But, if he has an excellent year as a return specialist. Then that definitely helps his stock. But he needs to excel at both. And even then, I can't see him getting into the 1st round.
Just my 2 cents. #21

I agree with that. He will be a great get in the 3rd or 4th round tho IMO. I believe he will be solid in the league.

NFL Talent ... needs to improve toughness
May 5, 2016, 8:41 PM

IMHO Mike Williams and Deon Cain (less weed compulsion)have brighter NFL potential with length and scoring ability, but Artavis has great running skills and should shine in slot in 2016.
The NFL will be watching his route running, hands in a crowd and physical/mental toughness. And in all fairness, Artavis played with at least two injuries in 2nd half of 2015 season, so he may turn on the jets in 2016. I hope so.
