Let's take savings a step further...

Replace all training table associated employees with the walk-on/practice scrubs kids. They should be glad to serve, cook and clean for the "real" athletes and the savings can buy better equipment for the ability to cook, clean and serve. Just a thought. Maybe somebody can set up a foundation to help poor kids afford lower level seats instead of placing the "lower class" students in the Death Valley equivalent of purgatory while the rich Greek murderers get the more desirable lower level seats.

Well, can't say the OP makes much sense but she(?) is entitled to her opinion. As far as all Geeks being murderers, that's not entirely correct, only the Sigma Phi Epsilon are murderers. I will qualify my assertion that it was indeed murder....what started out as a horrible accident(Tucker Hipps) with the lies, cover-up and " wall of silence" it quickly and surely became murder.

"Murder" I don't think you know what that word means.

Since they left a "brother" behind, lied and sent text to his girlfriend about his "whereabouts" and then just hid behind their fraternal wall of silence, at the very least someone should stand trial for negligent homicide or if it's any different, involuntary manslaughter. As an attorney,(at least I seem to remember you being an attorney) you are aware, once the cover-up began, it became way more than a tragic accident. Just my opinion, you can and no doubt already disagree.

your last post. It was use of the word "murder" I had trouble with. SC Code of Laws says "murder is the killing of any person with malice aforethought, either express or implied." There was no malice aforethought in this case that I am aware of.
As for involuntary manslaughter, you'd have to prove criminal negligence.
The SC Supreme Court in State v Scott says: Involuntary manslaughter is...defined as the unintentional killing of another without malice while engaged in either (1) the commission of some unlawful act not amounting to a felony and not naturally tending to cause death or great bodily harm, or (2) the doing of a lawful act with a reckless disregard for the safety of others...Involuntary manslaughter requires a showing of criminal negligence, which “is defined as the reckless disregard of the safety of others.” Recklessness is a state of mind in which the actor is aware of his or her conduct, yet consciously disregards a risk which his or her conduct is creating."
From what I know of the details, the criminal negligence, and specifically the recklessness will be tough to prove in a criminal trial. A civil trial should be a slam dunk though.

Murder is when you plan to kill someone and do it. Do people really think that Tucker was murdered. How about involuntary manslaughter. And that would have to be pushing him without any bodily harm intended....
