I feel bad for little kids forced into Coothood.

Every time I see a young kid under 7-8 decked out in coot gear it really makes me feel sorry for them. How dare the parents subject thier child to a life of believing and cheering for a football team that are perennial losers and will always be just that.
These kids will now aspire to attend Coot U, While the best state University is "off- limits" for an education merely bc it is a hated rival.
Just seems like it is unfair to essentially brainwash children into supporting a team that will not only NEVER win a championship, but will consistently disappoint them, and alienate them from the best public education SC has to offer.
Do you feel the same way?
Or, who cares, they are coots?

Clemson isn't missing out on much.
The educated ones tend to have an open mind about college choices. Two of my three nieces/nephews are 50/50 between cheering for Clemson and USCe, and both their parents are Gamecock grads.

I have seen photos of myself at about age 4 wearing a Coot sweatshirt. Discovered Clemson about 4 years later, followed my brother to school there, and converted my Dad, who attended USC and Maryland, and my Mom, who attended Florida, Florida State, and Maryland, to a TIGERS.

Love that billboard the USUcK geniuses put up down near Charleston on I-26 last year , it said they had 47 Nationally Ranked Programs ...well ok . Isn't an existing program a ranked program ? Notice they left off the actual rankings .

Exactly right, they never mention the actual rankings.
Wouldn't any existing degree program be ranked nationally? Even if you finish 90th and lose to the Citadel, your still nationally ranked.

Me and my wife can pick them out a mile away.

At least the majority of Tiger fans and grads do not have to live in the Midlands and listen all year to their excuses when they lose! Lord help us when they win such as in "five in a row!" Glad Clemson is putting matters back in order. The academic side of USuck isn't all that bad, but Clemson clearly is the university of South Carolina!
