You really think they'd troll a guy that put up record numbers against the "greatest cfb defense of all time"??
Mayfield vs Clemson - 26/41 311 yards 1 TD 2 INT to go along with 10 rushes for -15 yards.
DW vs Bama - 30/47 405 yards 4 TDs and 1 INT to go along with 20 rushes for 73 yards.
DW also isn't a whiny lil bich who was talking trash and couldn't back it up.

I agree with you. I have no problem with smack talk or trolling an opponent(especially that loud mouth crybaby). It's part of the game(I used to love doing it to my opponents) and as long as it's done in a civil manner I don't think it's of detriment to the game.
I was agreeing with your point that once you open a can of worms you open yourself up to the same type of "criticism" for lack of better way of putting it.

Well I did run with it in a direction different than I think he intended. He said "them" so going back I'm guessing he meant Boulware and Dodd and not DW.
On that note Dodd had a GREAT game against Bama and Boulware also played well. Now they could probably take a shot at some of our DBs though.

That 5 point victory isn't tag-worthy. We could easily post the stat sheet and tag Alabama and it would be a draw.
But Baker Mayfield (and others on OU) talk ALOT of junk leading up to the game. Afterwards? Crickets.
Bottom line though - Dabo's not going to like this one bit. Maybe social media privileges will be pulled before summer this year.

kind'a agree, however, I'm old school and subscribe to the 'Dabo theory' of win with class, lose with class mentality.
And tho' I MISSED Mack in the natty after he went down in the second quarter - cuz I think we win with him playing the whole game - but overall, I really would have had preferred that he had refrained from the trash talking, finger waving antics. Likewise for Kevin Dodd and Ben Boulware. When you're good, your play will do your talking.
Just saying.
