apparently your allowed to slide approximately 2 feet either direction when taking a charge . It was added to the rule book last year

If you go down the lane out of control like that it's gonna get called every time, all he had to do was either a) pull the ball out and set up a play instead of going 1 on 2, or b) just pull up at the free throw line.
