Mikhail Carter - UGA DL Commit

Noticed most of the players who visited the weekend of Clemson-Miami hoops game signed with Tigers. One exception was Mikhail Carter. Is it possible our late flirtation with Gary ended recruitment interest to/from Carter. Any GA alums/boosters have any insight? Just an artifact at this time, but nevertheless interested as Carter was strong 4-star DL. TIA for feedback ...

He was SEC bound all the way sir. The Gary situation had nothing to do with his recruitment. Plus we are great with out him and Gary.We have a brand that young recruits love.

I don't think we were ever going to take another DT. Only reason we would take Gary is to play him at SDE.

He was a take all day . Carter would have committed to CU had uga not had a spot . They were hoping and expecting a commitment from Derrick brown, so when he committed to auburn , that opened up a spot up for Carter .

We had been on him a long time and the visit had been lined up 6-8 mos ago per the coaches. The info about a Clemson or Bama visit was a smokescreen by the Gary family.
