close to the tourney at the start of the year and agreed that Brownell deserves after next year, with renovated facilities to truly evaluate his position as our coach.

to make the NCAA tournament, and consistent failure to reach that goal should be viewed as a failure by those running the program. It's really that simple. Having said that, I did not expect us to reach the tourney this year, and based on the job he's done so far this season he deserves another year no matter what.

What difference will renovated facilities make in one year?
If you're going to give him more time based on that you need to give him another half decade to recruit with those renovated facilities.
If we miss the NCAA tournament for the 5th season in a row Brownell should politely be shown the door.

Unless we happen to run the table here on out, your can kiss that hope goodbye.
Holmes and Blossingame cost us dearly in this one. Holmes was a burden vs. FSU, also.
Brad has his work cut out for him with this group. As bad as we played, missed free throws cost us taking the lead in the final minute, twice. The two non-performers today noted above were the ones that choked on those also.
NIT is a real possibility if we can win 4 of next 7 and 1 tournament game. This club lacks depth and consistency--especially on the road. VT is not a strong team, folks.

No more of this "we'll get'em next year"... Got six games left in the ACC regular season ... if the mentality is ... well, maybe get 4 out of 6 ... that is a "loser" mentality .... as the 'ol saying goes ... one game at a time ... last third of the reg season starts Saturday ...

As an outsider I have no idea what has happened to cause our struggles.
I do think our players thought recently that they're going to jack up threes and 50% are going to fall all year long.
If they can recapture the mindset they displayed the first 8-10 games of the conference schedule this team can win out.

It's a re-occurring theme, year in, and year out. I think SC State, Winthrop, coastal, and Wofford is gonna make the tourney this year, and we'll be sitting at home.
