Actually, yes. I know it's hard to admit the truth for both fanbases. He had 3 11-2 seasons. Won 4-5 bowl games. Had a winning record against Clemson. Beat Georgia often. Had wins over tennessee, beat no 1 alabama, multiple top 5 and top 10 wins. ??ayed for a sec title. Finished seasons ranked no 7, 8 and no. 4. Was in the top 25 for longest streak in school history, had nations longest home winning streak at one time, broke nations longest winning streak at one time by beating Bama. Had facilities improved to levels beyond belief. So yeah, he left it better off. Say what you want, but as bad a reason as it was just slightly better play and USC wins 8-9 games. The rebuilding process isn't what people make it out to be. They showed against Clemson if they had played with that emotion all 12 games the season would have been different, so the process to getting back to 9-11 wins isn't 5 years away as some may like to think. I can admit it, the east isn't very strong and I don't see it being much better next year. Tennessee isn't back. Georgia isn't unbeatable. Neither is Florida. Kentucky and vandy are what they are and Missouri is falling. Congrats on a great season so far. You should beat UNC if you don't turn the ball over, but I would expect it to be a 4th quarter game. Then it will get fun. You get the chance to prove your no. 1. If you beat Michigan state, ( I believe they knock Iowa out saturday) and Oklahoma or Alabama all on a neutral field you deserve it. A shame both canvases can't ever be rational. Posting Steve sSpurrier left USC worse off is ridiculous.

Never post on here because I find most messsge board fans irrational. That includes south Carolina fans. My dad went to Clemson and this is his handle. He signed up to look for acc title game tickets,but got some from a friend. Wonder if the tarheel fans will turn out Saturday in Charlotte? I would assume they will for once. They really didn't against USC to start the season. Hard to believe they would be 12-0 had they won that game.

All that was temporary though. Now you're sitting at 3-9, no bowl, no recruiting and can't get any decent coach to even take a sniff over there. He might have had a few wining seasons but the cost of that will be 5+ years at the bottom of the SEC.
